AGUAMARINA is a classic German yacht of the beginning of the century, model “Bavaria 39 Cruiser”. In my opinion, it is the perfect compromise between seaworthiness and habitability. It fits in the basic dimensions 12 * 4 m, which allows the use of relatively inexpensive places on moorings and anchorage.

However, the internal content already belongs to the 40-foot class, and this is a qualitative milestone that allows you to make a completely new layout of the interior, typical for larger yachts: a large galley along the side with many drawers and shelves, a cozy lounge, two latches, 3 spacious double cabins. Many different portholes and hatches provide good lighting and ventilation of the yacht. The natural wood interior is pleasant to the touch and easy to clean. Especially worth noting is the “old-school” design of the interior spaces, with a complete absence of sharp corners, and a multitude of built-in handrails and supporting parts that provide maximum safety during the rocking and active movement of the crew inside the boat. A huge number of lockable lockers and storages allows you to place a lot of necessary (and sometimes not too necessary…) stuff for all crew members. Perhaps the Bavaria 39 is the most comfortable yacht of all existing boats with a caliber of up to 12 m in length.

The boat is fully equipped with everything necessary for navigation and crew safety and has a valid navigation permit with an unlimited navigation area. The maximum number of people on board is 10 people. But to ensure complete comfort during long transitions, the number of crew should not exceed 6 people. The supply of fresh water (400 l) and fuel (210 l) allows long autonomous transitions. Additionally installed solar panels in fine weather and with reasonable savings from the crew can almost completely meet all the necessary electricity needs. The liferaft and EPIRB satellite rescue system in critical situations gives the crew the maximum chance of survival that rescue equipment can provide today. The installed active AIS system allows you to see nearby vessels even without using the radar, as well as transmit information about your position and course to all surrounding vessels. The classic powerful (2 kW) radar will help in night transitions and in prediction of impending rain and thunder fronts. Underwater sonar allows you to feel more confident when passing in small and unfamiliar places as well as when searching for fishing places 🙂 The installed system of autonomous heating (Webasto) allows you to significantly expand both the geography and the seasonality of your travel. Of course, a 39-foot boat cannot claim the title of the most sporting and seafaring yacht. A cruising speed of 5 knots will not be able to surprise those who have tried larger and sports boats. However, the design, as well as the entire set of additional equipment at AGUAMARINA, allows it to confidently claim a satisfactory rating in the nomination of long-distance cruisers. On my boat it is always comfortabe for those who are not in a hurry to get somewhere, and for whom the process of travel itself is a pleasure and (possibly) even a separate meaning of life :))
